Many times over the past few years I have prayed Lord, may Your Kingdom com, may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Recently Jesus said, “Oh really, are you sure?” As we began to talk HE helped me understand that the implication of that statement would be that HIS will would be done on earth and in me exactly as it is done in heaven.

That conversation got me to thinking. I realized how many things in my life would have to change for my prayer to be answered. I realized how much my thinking patterns would need to change. I have so far to go in developing heaven’s mindset in so many areas.
But my shortcomings will not lessen my prayer. In fact, it has increased the passion with which I pray it. I know it will at times be difficult to process all the transformation needed. But my heart wants so much to see HIM operate in my life and on this earth unrestrained.
The words, “Let Your Kingdom come, and Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven” are no longer the beginning of a familiar prayer. They have become the pursuit of my heart.
Hope to see you in a Tea Room soon,
Elizabeth
