I have been thinking a lot about worship and properly approaching God. As I have my spirit was reminding me of Elijah's experience at Carmel. Like us he wanted God's power to descend upon his circumstances. But unlike me, he realized there's a difference between worshipping at an altar he built and worshipping at an altar of the Lord.
I am asking God to show me where I have incorrectly built the altar of worship in my life. I want the things brought before God in worship and petition to be things in line with His heart. I am weary of wrestling God to do what I think is right. I want to be in proper alignment with Him so that at the altar of worship our thoughts, desires and hearts are one.
