Above are the familiar words of the first in chapter of the Gospel of John that say, “in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God”. But they are so much more than that.
As I was sitting at my desk today thinking of some things I am having to deal with that portion of a verse kept dancing in my heart. Not the complete verse, but the part that state “in the beginning was the word”. As it kept repeating itself in my spirit I realized what the Holy Spirit was doing. HE was reminding me that before the situations arose, the word was there, before the battle engaged, the word was there. It was HIS sweet reminder to me that before I had encountered any of the things going on, the Word had already been there sounding forth the victory, providing the needed answers and solutions.
So whatever you are facing right now, remember, “in the beginning was the word”. You are not alone in your circumstance, you are not alone on the battlefield. The Word is there and always has been and always will be. More than ink on a page, a living, loving, eternal being Word. HE will never fail us.
Hope to see you in a Tea Room soon,
