Walk on Through...

Ps. 23 is such a powerful collection of words.  Too often, because we memorized it as a child, we do not weigh the power in the verses.  Last year when I received the cancer diagnosis a precious friend sent me an email saying, “the Lord told me to remind you that yea though I walk through the valley of death”.

As I have thought of those powerful words recently I am reminded they apply to many areas of our lives.  Not just our health.  At times we walk through dying relationships, dying finances, dying ministries, etc.  And each time we are so impacted that we don’t think we can take another step.  We literally feel the sides of the gorge are caving in on us.  At times we might even feel “scared stiff”.

But the scripture says, “though I walk through the valley”.  As Churchill once said, “when walking through hell, keep walking”.  Abrupt but true.  When everything in us tells this is the end (figuratively or literally) we need to remember what our FATHER has said to us about whatever circumstance we are facing.  We need to walk in the power of HIS Lordship, the truth of HIS Word, and might of HIS Holy Spirit.

Don’t give up!!  Don’t stop!  HE is still urging you forward.  If you continue you will find yourself at the table prepared for you.  That table will be in the presence of your enemies so they can witness HIS care of you.  So you can declare your confidence in HIM.

Keep walking!!!

Hope to see you in a Tea Room soon,

Elizabeth
